Built in the late 1950s by architect Lamunière, the Protestant University Center requires renovation, energy efficiency upgrades, compliance with current regulations, and spatial reorganization.
The scope of the project is to deliver a renovated building that meets the needs of its users—students, restaurant operators, and businesses—while complying with current safety and energy standards and respecting the heritage constraints of a listed building.
The work includes replacing the heating system with a heat pump, installing a heat-recovery ventilation system, adding 60 photovoltaic panels, greening the flat roof, and renovating the façades in accordance with the original architecture, in close consultation with the Department of Monuments and Sites. These interventions allow the building to combine modern comfort, energy efficiency, and heritage preservation, and have led to the achievement of HPE renovation certification.
