The Champs-Fréchets satellite city presents a unified appearance with its prefabricated concrete façades, typical of the 1970s. The renovation and vertical extension of the IEPA (Residential Buildings with Support for the Elderly) balances constructional and environmental objectives within this highly characteristic context.
Based on the existing structure, the proposed apartments offer generous, bright, and comfortable spaces, meeting the typological mix desired by the client and the specific requirements of IEPA buildings.
On the added floors, the horizontal circulation is reinterpreted, furnished with small seating areas and naturally lit, promoting rest and social interaction among residents. Additional common spaces are provided on the ground floor and on a green roof, which includes planter boxes for cultivation.
