Facade Restoration
Built between 1853 and 1856 by architect Joseph Collart, the Metropole Hotel is one of the buildings that best represents Geneva’s cosmopolitan and tourist development in the 19th century.
To preserve the building’s heritage value and ensure its long-term future, a comprehensive façade restoration project has been undertaken. The works cover more than 3,500 m² of façades and include cleaning and restoring the stonework, repairing decorative elements, renovating awnings and balconies, modernizing the woodwork, installing blinds, and implementing a new lighting concept to highlight the site’s architecture.
