In the heart of Eaux-Vives, this project transforms a vacant plot into 14 Minergie-certified collective housing units, ranging from 3 to 5 rooms. The reinforced concrete structure, complemented by steel box balconies, integrates into a dense urban neighborhood, while respecting the dimensions and alignment of the surrounding buildings.
The design and construction had to contend with restricted access and a limited plot area, requiring precise site planning and optimal coordination of storage areas and crane operations. The proximity of the lake and a basement at groundwater level led to the use of micropiles and the construction of a waterproof basement to accommodate parking and storage rooms.
The ventilated serpentine façade lends the building both elegance and durability. In terms of energy efficiency, solar thermal panels and a monobloc dual-flow ventilation system ensure comfort and performance for all residents.
